There are no dents, scrapes or scratches. The panels align as they should and all gaskets and seals are like new. The wheels are very nearly perfect with excellent paint. The glass is all original, as are the lights and lenses. It's a striking car. The interior is in fantastic shape with no flaws in any leather panel or any issue with any trim. The seats are still soft and supple with no cracking or scrapes. The dashboard and instrument binnacle are completely covered and are free from leather shrinkage. The carpets are very clean and the shifter and steering wheel look new. The flat 12 fires to life immediately, and it runs great. The only modification is a stainless steel tubi cat back exhaust, and it sounds amazing. Unlike how some of the v8 cars can really scream when fitted with a new rear box, the flat 12 here sounds more or less how a stock version sounds, but a bit louder and somehow even more exotic. The dogleg transmission, suspension and brakes are in excellent condition and work perfectly. We have the original owner's manual and packet as well as the tool kit. The belt service was performed in january of 2012 at lake forest sportscars in chicago, and they have records for service back to 2002. This is a known and cared for car. Celebrated, relegated to history as an outdated relic and now a quickly rising classic, the testarossa and 512tr are again appreciated for their magnificent engines and uniquely enjoyable driving experience.
